A wine of fine structure, gentle fruit and bright acid, Marchand & Burch Villages Chardonnay is sourced from our Mount Barrow vineyard in the Mount Barker sub-region of the Great Southern.

Bright, translucent ruby in the glass, this elegant and energetic Pinot Noir shines due to elevated floral and red fruited notes. Savoury earth and spice tones mingle with red cherry, raspberry, rosemary, hibiscus, vanilla, and potpourri on the nose. Soft, silky tannins gather towards the front of the palate giving way to a smooth texture and rich fruited mid-palate. A lively, lingering acidity points to this wine’s cool climate origin. Impressions of red berries and floral tones remain on the palate forming a pleasant and dry finish.

Dark ruby, clear & bright. Lifted aromas of mulberries, dark cherries and pulped raspberry flesh are supported by brief, fleeting glimpses of river stone and earthy spice. A sense of fineness and control hints at the age and quality of fruit. Flavours of dark bramble fruit and spice provide some early mouth filling texture. These persist and are seamlessly enveloped and supported as they travel through the mouth by a super fine tannin frame working around and with the fruit to ensure some genuine balance and controlled focus to the palate.
