Dashwood Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby red colour with inviting aromas of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry. Red fruits carry to the generous and juicy palate with hints of spice and smooth elegant tannins giving the wine length and poise. Paired perfectly with fresh pasta or smokey BBQ dishes.

Pale straw color. Aromas of fresh asparagus, marjoram, passion fruit, magnolia blossom, and marmalade with a round, lively, fruity medium body and a tingling, complex, long meyer lemon and candied ginger finish with no oak flavor.

Vivid aromas of white peach, candied grapefruit and ginger result from partial botrytis infection of ripe Sauvignon Blanc fruit. The palate is plush and sweet upfront with a lingering finish of citrus and fresh beeswax.

Delicious aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry liquorice and dried oregano with a fragrant all spice lift. The fleshy, sweet-fruited palate boasts opulent tannins, notes of smoky French oak and a long juicy finish.

Single Vineyard PAPA is typically, fresh, zingy and vibrant.
Vavasour 'Claudia' has now been renamed 'PAPA', which is named after the soils in the region.

Fermented in old oak, the palate exhibits luscious stone fruit flavours with an underlying mineral note which is typical of this vineyard.

Almost creamy like in texture. Long ripe pear, dried honey, herbaceous cedar and spice after taste. Awesome wine!

Single Vineyard PAPA Chardonnay [ previously Vavasour Anna ] from the Awatere Valley is a lively, elegant, serious Chardonnay.
The grapes for this wine are carefully selected and hand-picked. The fruit is then whole bunch pressed to seasoned French oak and fermented with indigenous yeast and aged 14 months

The palate is elegant in proportion, but very concentrated with fresh, bright citrus fruits that have a luscious note, some tropical fruit hints, nutty oak and racy, minerally acidity. Very fine textures carry the line to a long nutty, toast infused citrus fruit finish.

Vavasour Papa Pinot Noir has a generous palate of dark cherry, plum, and violets. A savoury complexity and silky smooth finish speaks clearly of the Awatere Valley.
